Buying a Domain

Buying a domain listed at Domain Name International is easy. All you need to do is find a domain that you are interested in purchasing and then simply fill out the offer form to begin negotiations.

Here's how it works:

  1. Find a domain that interests you by browsing through one of our lists:
    • Front Page Listing, included on our home page - a very prestigious listing of the highest quality domains on our site.
    • Featured List - A filtered list of the highest quality domains without categorical breakdown.
    • Standard Domain Listings - the categorical listing of all domains offered at Domain Name International.
    • If a domain you are interested in is not included in one of these lists, you are not out of luck. You may make make an offer for any domain that you like, regardless of if it's currently up for sale, and Domain Name International will contact the owners with your offer and try to negotiate a deal for you.
  2. If a domain is hyperlinked, then it has a corresponding webpage where more information can be found.
  3. Make on offer for a domain by filling out the offer form.
  4. We will contact the owner of the domain with your offer.
  5. If your offer is the actual asking price for the domain, then the sale of the domain will be administered using this price.
  6. Otherwise, we will negotiate a price that is acceptable to both you and the owner by acting as a third party negotiator and keeping in constant communication with both parties.
  7. Once a price is agreed upon, you will wire that sum to Domain Name International's escrow service, who will secure this money until transfer of the domain is completed.
  8. The buyer will be contacted once we have received the completed funds wired to us, and then transfer of the domain into your name will begin.
  9. Once transfer of the domain is confirmed through a WhoIs search at the Top Level Domain's (TLD) respective database, we will wire the funds to the owner, minus our commission and wiring fees.

Appraisals:

If you are not sure what to offer for a domain or what it is actually worth, then we encourage you to visit our Appraisals page where we offer free tips in assessing the value of a domain. Furthermore, we offer an Appraisal Service where we will assess the range of values for any domain and explain in detail each factor contributing to this value. The fee for this service is $20US per domain and may be used for any domain, regardless of its ownership. Email us at appraisals@domainnameintl.com if you would like us to appraise a domain for you.
