Escrow Service

One of the biggest dangers in buying from or selling to private individuals is there is no way of judging the honesty of this person. It is quite possible to transfer a domain into someone else's name with the agreement of sale, but then find they simply refuse to pay. Now you are stuck with the unpleasant and expensive situation of incurring legal activities, which could very well prove futile.

We at Domain Name International understand this risk, and have formed an escrow service dealing exclusively with domain sales to insure a safe and secure transaction between the buyer and seller. Here's how it works:

  1. Once an agreement between buyer and seller is reached, then Domain Name International requests the seller to wire the agreed upon sum into an exclusive account set up for the transaction.
  2. Once the wire has been confirmed, Domain Name International informs the buyer to begin the transfer of the domain name. This process could take a few days sometimes even a few weeks. During this time, the money stays securely in the account.
  3. Once the transfer has been completed and confirmed by the respective registrar, Domain Name International then wires the money (minus commission and wire fees) to the seller.
  4. Transaction is complete; everyone is happy, and no one was at risk.
